The Cisco Unified IP Phone 7965G has a 5″ backlit color display and an integrated gigabit ethernet port. The phone has six lines (that can be a combination of telephone lines, speed dials, and direct access to telephony features), four interactive soft keys that guide you through call features and functions, and an intuitive four-way (plus Select key) navigation cluster. The Cisco IP 7965 is also able to support up to two CIsco 7916 key modules which provides more lines for the phone.
The Cisco Unified IP Phone 7965G delivers wideband audio support, backlit color display, and an integrated Gigabit Ethernet port. It addresses the needs of the executive or major decision maker, administrative assistants, and those working with bandwidth-intensive applications on colocated PCs. This IP phone includes a large, backlit, easy-to-read color display for easy access to communication information, timesaving applications, and features such as date and time, calling party name, calling party number, digits dialed, and presence information. It also accommodates Extensible Markup Language (XML) applications that take advantage of the display. The phone provides direct access to six telephone lines (or combination of lines, speed dials, and direct access to telephony features), four interactive soft keys that guide you through call features and functions, and an intuitive four-way (plus Select key) navigation cluster. A hands-free speakerphone and handset designed for high-fidelity wideband audio are standard, as is a built-in headset connection.
The Cisco Unified IP Phone 7965G supports Cisco Prestandard Power over Ethernet (PoE), allowing powering from any of the Cisco Inline Power-capable blades and boxes. In addition, it supports IEEE 803.af PoE. The phone can be powered locally with a power supply (part number CP-PWR-CUBE-3). More than 24 user-adjustable ring tones are available. A HAC handset (meets ADA requirements) is available, as well as HAC compliance for magnetic coupling to approved HAC hearing aids. The dial pad is also ADA-compliant. Skinny Client Control Protocol (SCCP) support, G.711µ and G.729a audio compression codecs are available. The phone supports differentiated services code point (DSCP) and 802.1Q/p standards. The phone supports manufacturing-installed digital certificates, device authentication, and encryption. Support for more than 20 languages is built-in (depends on Cisco Unified CallManager software version). IP address assignment can be statically configured or configured through the DHCP client. This service includes full maintenance, repair, or replacement of the unit and supporting cabling, and software and firmware upgrades and patching. Training is provided initially and ongoing if needed.
