Virtual Private Network (VPN) and Firewall Services – Non-Core – 43.30.06.015

Provide VPN tools and support for the university. Maintain VPN hardware and provide administration services. Design, configure, install and maintain the security appliance.
VPN (Virtual Private Network) services are provided for secure remote communication to university resources. Site to Site VPN allows organizations secure network access to restricted resources. The security appliance is configured to include VPN and firewall services.
Maintain ASA appliance hardware and secure network access to restricted resources. Diagnose technical issues with VPN services. Implement and enforce VPN access security policies. Provide after-hours support for university VPN services. Ensure adherence to university security policies through routers, firewalls, VPN appliances, and IDS/IPS systems. Configure access control services on networking hardware and diagnose security issues. Provide security administration services for the university. Provide after-hours support for university firewall and security services.
Hardware: Cisco ASA appliance.
Provide experienced Cisco certified technical support for networking hardware and software including, but not limited to, the following: Cisco Firewalls and IDS/IPS: 6500 and 7600 series Firewall Service Modules (FWSM’s), 6500 series Intrusion Detection System Module (IDSM), and MARS appliance. Security Software: Nessus vulnerability scanner, Private I Syslog Viewer and UNIX file parsing utilities.
The VPN Services component includes the following: design, configure, maintain and administer enterprise VPN services, implement and enforce VPN access security policies, manage Remedy ticket queue in support of Service Desk.The Firewall Services component includes the following: design, configure, maintain and administer Firewall, VPN, and IDS/IPS systems for all of the UCF locations, ensure network security between network segments, monitor system security alerts for Firewall, VPN and IDS/IPS systems using specialized monitoring software, and manage Remedy ticket queue in support of Service Desk.
The pricing for VPN and Firewall Services is provided on a per customer basis depending on the service needs. Some of the factors taken into consideration are hardware purchase requirements, SmartNet maintenance requirements, scope of work, and maintenance and growth needs. Design and engineering costs will be covered by Project Management Service Catalog entry, customer to purchase the appliance.
