The mission of the department of Computer Services and Telecommunications shall
be to provide central information technology resources including software,
databases, computers networks, telephones, staff, other resources and services
to support the academic, research and business activities of the University. The
mission shall be carried out within the framework of the University's overall
mission and goal.
Computer Services and Telecommunications (CS&T) is an
Operating Unit within the Information Technologies and Resources (IT&R) Division
at the University of Central Florida. Our responsibilities include: provide all
telecommunications services (voice and data) to the UCF main campus and provide
central support for administrative data processing, instruction and research
computing, and telecommunications. Our seven organizational units provide
centralized support and
service for all aspects of the university's computing, networking and
telecommunications.
We also maintain several public workstation labs located
throughout campus as well as a professionally staffed computer store that
facilitates the purchase of software or hardware at competitive prices. CS&T
provides and supports application/systems development, document imagining
services, web hosting services, email and academic support services as well as
Telecommunications; including telephone, cable TV and other communication
