For Your Information...
UCF's Telecommunications is continually striving to improve your Telephone services and in doing so, is enhancing the telephone system to follow the universal standards of dialing "9" for accessing an outside line. No longer will you have to decide if a number is a local call, a toll call or a long distance call. Simply dial "9" and the system will automatically route your call in the most economical way.

UCF has become a node on the Florida Lambda Rail (FLR).  Thru the use of fiber-optics, the  campus now has 10GB of Internet bandwidth to support research and educational applications.  For more information visit the FLR Web site.

From time to time Computer Services needs to perform maintenance on some of the servers in the Data Center.  A maintenance calendar of affected systems and their downtime is available for review.  Please contact Jim Ennis if you have any questions.

Did You Know...
UCF has one of the largest deployments of wireless (Wi-Fi) Internet access when compared to many other college campuses.  More then 90% of the campus is covered by Wi-Fi, allowing students, faculty and staff to access the Internet from virtually anywhere on campus...
